Kiss an Angel Good Morning!
I visited Robb's Memory Post post this morning and he talked about songs that bring back good memories for you and it got me thinking about my father. He died when I was young, but one of the things i remember about him that brings back such great memories is his singing. He wasn't the greatest I am sure, but to a child he was a king. A specific memory I have is us driving to my grandparents house and I made my dad sing to me for hours (or so it seemed to me at the time) I did not realize it at the time, but it seems he only knew 2 songs. One of them was Sixteen Tons by Merle Travis, but my favorite one and the one that makes my memory so sweet was Charlie Prides Kiss An Angel Good Morning
I am the only one looking at the Camera !
Kiss An Angel Good Morning Lyrics
Whenever I chance to meet
some old friends on the street
They wonder how does a man get to be this way
I've always got a smiling face
Anytime and any place
And everytime they ask me why
I just smile and say
You've got to
Kiss an angel good morning
and let you know you think about her when you're gone
Kiss an angel good morning
and love her like the devil when you get back home
Well people may try to guess
The secret of a happiness
but some of them never learn it's a simple thing
The secret I'm speaking of
Is a woman and a man in love
and the answer is in this song
that I always sing
You've got to
Kiss an angel good morning
and let you know you think about her when you're gone
Kiss an angel good morning
and love her like the devil when you get back home
Kiss an angel good morning
and let you know you think about her when you're gone
Kiss an angel good morning
and love her like the devil when you get back home
